The Christ Nagar School Band is one of the institution’s most cherished traditions, renowned for its excellence, discipline, and musical brilliance. Established under the visionary leadership of Father Gerald, the band quickly earned a reputation for its outstanding performances and high standards of training. Over the years, it has nurtured generations of talented musicians and continues to be a source of pride for the school.
The band is distinguished by its impressive range of instruments, including the Tuba, Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone, and Alto Saxophone, which are rarely found in school bands. Christ Nagar has also hosted the Father Gerald Memorial Band Competitions across various categories, providing a platform for young musicians to showcase their talent and develop their skills. In addition, specialized seminars and training programmes for trumpet, drums, and drum majors have contributed to the band’s tradition of excellence. Today, comprising both a Bugle Band and a Brass Band, the Christ Nagar School Band continues to uphold its rich legacy while inspiring students to pursue musical excellence, teamwork, and discipline.
