Orientation programme on “Teachers and Media”

On 25th may, 2024, a seminar titled Teachers and Media was held at Chavara Hall.It was focused on educating teachers about the influence of media on the disadvantages of smartphones. Fr. James Alakkuzhiyil, the keynote speaker, delivered an insightful presentation. He outlined several key points, supported by research and real-life examples,which included: Reduced attention span Impact on mental health Cyberbullying and online safety Social skills development Physical Health concerns.

Reopening Ceremony

The Reopening ceremony was conducted on03 June,2024. Dr Saji Gopinath , Vice-Chancellor , Digital University, Kerala, was the Chief Guest. He was also an alumnus of Christ Nagar School. In his address, he underscored the importance of time management . It was commenced with a heartfelt welcome speech by Principal Fr Dr Mathew Thengumpally CMI. He expressed his joy at reuniting the school community and emphasized the institutions dedication to academic excellence and holistic development. Fr Paul Mangad CMI, Manager of Christnagar Group of Institutions, led a solemn dedication prayer, seeking blessings for the school, its students, and staff. A notable highlight of the event was the release of the school magazine . The PTA President ,Shri Denise Jacob delivered felcitation on the event.The Bursar,Rev.Fr Robin Pathinarilchira CMI ,presented a memento to the Chief Guest. The event was a resounding success, marking a new beginning and setting a positive tone for the upcoming academic year.


On 19 December, as part of the Charity Programme, Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School handed over an amount of Rs 50,000/- to our former student, who is suffering from chronic kidney disease.


Parents and Students cooperated whole-heartedly with the proposal to hold a Food Fest as part of Charity Drive. During Christmas Fete, an amount of Rs.3,65,624/- which was collected as part of the Drive, was handed over to a parent who is presently undergoing medical treatment. The venture which found every item of food, sold before half-day, was a resounding success. We express deep gratitude to the entire parent community for having been so kind and cooperative. As part of Charity Drive, a Book Fair was also held which drew encouraging response from the student community. Thank You All, Very Much!


14 November, the Birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru, commemorated as Children’s Day, was observed by the students of the LP Section by staging a variety of colourful programmes that entertained the gathering.
